Take Action for Smart Energy Solutions

Virginia has an opportunity to be on the leading edge of a clean energy future.  By investing in clean energy, we can put thousands of Virginians back to work, end our dangerous dependence on fossil fuels, fight global warming, protect Virginia's beautiful mountains, coastlines, and the many special places in between.  

Our clean energy future will take action at all levels: citizens, governments, unions and business - all must be involved to make the solutions work.  So, let's get to work!

Take Action for Smart Energy Solutions:

• Sign the Mile-Long Petition for Smart Energy Solutions to Dominion.

• Sign up for our Virginia Sierra Club Email Action Alert System.

• Call Gov. Kaine at (804) 786-2211 and ask him to support energy efficency and renewable energy, not the proposed Wise County Coal Power Plan.

• Download and mail in our Kaine 2% Solution Postcard.

• Take our Virginia's Energy Future survey.

• Print and share our "Ten Reasons Why Offshore Drilling is Wrong for Virginia" flyer (pdf).

• Contact your Congressional legislator and tell them to "Chill the Drills".  Invest instead in clean renewable energy and energy efficiency programs.

• Write a letter to the editor to your local newspaper calling for clean energy solutions for Virginia.  (Check out these letters from Virginians for inspiration.)
