Earth Day Celebration in Roanoke Date of event: Saturday, April 23, 2005 Location: SunTrust Plaza, on Franklin Rd in Downtown Roanoke Time: From Noon to 7 PM Sponsored by: The Blue Ridge Environmental Network And the Roanoke Earth Day Committee 2005 Activities: 1. Information tables and exhibits by various local environmental groups, city and state agencies and private supporters of the environment. (The list of attendees is not yet finalized and will follow in a later announcement.) 2. Live music by local bands from 1 PM to 7 PM. 3. Food and refreshments by organic providers (not finalized). 4. Other entertainments, skits and children's activities during the day. Registration: Attendance is free to the public. All exhibitors must pre-register, and a small service fee will be charged based upon the size and type of exhibit space reserved. Some restrictions and conditions apply.
