Select yellow circle for information about the area 1.
Mill Creek Named
after a viewpoint on Pearis Mountain overlooking the historic New River,
this cluster contains two wildiands connected by the Appalachian Trail.
This 17-mile section of the trail is notable for its diversity, as
it passes through flat wetlands near Dismal Falls, ascends steeply
up Sugar Run Mountain, runs along the isolated valley of Mill Creek
past rock outcrops, and drops sharply to the town of Pearisburg. |
