We're the largest local Sierra Club group in Virginia, with more than 3,700 members in the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church, Arlington County, and parts of Fairfax and Prince William counties. The Group's elected volunteer leaders work with interested Group members and state and national Sierra Club staffers to organize campaigns for clean energy, smart growth, public transportation, open space conservation and more. The purpose of this event is threefold:
1. To identify and connect Northern Virginians interested in Climate Change
2. To give an overview of the basic science of climate change and what is happening in Northern Virginia to address it
3. To help community members be more effective activists in their communities

Moving Northern Virginia Forward on Climate Change: Presentations
On October 1st the Energy Managers from the City of Alexandria and Arlington and Fairfax Counties joined a forum to talk about what their jurisdictions are doing in the area of energy efficiency. Here are the presentaions from that forum.
