Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District reports that Jim McGlone, a long-time environmental activist and urban forester, will present "Trees Are Among Man's Coolest Friends" at the 33rd Green Breakfast. Mr. McGlone will talk about the importance of trees in rapidly urbanizing Fairfax County. In addition to summarizing the County's recent policies underscoring the need to increase its tree canopy generally, he also will cover points that we should keep in mind as we consider our forestry stewardship in planing and maintaining trees on our own properties and in our volunteer work on public properties.
